Spinning Bicycles

"A Fun New Health Machine: Spinning Bicycles..."

...Put together a stationary bicycle with the design of a racing bicycle and what do you get?  The answer is "spinning bicycles."  These new stationary bicycles give riders another reason to cycle indoors. The spinning bicycles have a place at resorts, like the Four Seasons in Mexico.

You can also find spinning bicycles in some fitness centers and homes across the United States. The spinning bike lets riders experience cycling as if they were out on the road.  During a workout, you can experience bumpy roads and curvy turns, almost forgetting that you haven't left the room.

Computer-Controlled

The Schwinn spinning bike is one of the best in the industry.  For instance, the Schwinn 101 Upright can handle up to 300 pounds of weight and has a computer-controlled resistance system.

Typically, Schwinns have other features as well, such as a heart rate monitor and ready-to-use workouts.  Plus, you get handlebars and a cushioned seat that you can adjust.  And toe clips keep your feet firmly on the pedals so you can concentrate on the workout.

The spinning bicycle lets men and women, of just about any build or age, enjoy cycling.  If you have a hip injury or knee pain, then you may still be able to use a spinning bicycle, but be sure to ask you doctor before starting a workout.

Long-lasting spinning bikes, like the Schwinn 101 Upright, have steel frames and operate quietly with a belt drive transmission.  They may also be electric and come with an AC adapter.   An extra feature that keeps you informed is a display that shows your specific workout statistics.

Another Schwinn model, the 103 Upright, has 17 workout programs.  Then, if you want a comfortable spinning bicycle,, there's the 113 Upright Bike by Schwinn.  This bicycle has a cushioned seat and wide pedals.  And you get 16 different levels of resistance and work out statistics, like time, rate per mile, distance, and calories.Spinning Bicycles photo

The 113 Upright weighs 80 pounds and has a quick-start ignition, so you don't wait and wait for the bicycle to turn on.  You can add on a water bottle cage, a key tray, and a reading rack to make the workout more enjoyable.

A newer look is the Airdyne, which has a large fan wheel.  This bicycle uses fan wheel technology to build resistance and to keep you cool.  The Airdyne runs on batteries and has easy mounting and dismounting.

Let's not forget the Schwinn DX, with L-shaped handlebars, a slim design, and a computer.  The Schwinn DX uses a flywheel that builds resistance without your increasing speed.  So you don't need to pedal faster to get more resistance.

Whole Body Exercise

The Air Windsprint by Schwinn, as well as the Airdyne, let you workout your arm and legs. You move the flexible handlebars back and forth, while you pedal, to exercise your entire body.

If you want a stationary bicycle, with the look and feel of an upright, then spinning bicycles are the way to go.  You have choices among different styles and features, so you can have the spinning bicycle of your dreams.  What are you waiting for?
